Firstly the area (usually the armpit) is cleaned before applying a mixture of iodine and starch. This area then turns black in the places where the sweat glands are found.
Equal amounts of botox are placed in the under arm area and usually 50 units of botox are required on each armpit (axillary region). Also known as sweatox.
It make take up to 2 weeks before there is any improvement. In some cases there will be a dramatic improvement and this may last for up to 9 months.
Some people choose to have the treatment because they have excessive sweating and consequently sweaty armpits which causes them embarassment in their daily lives. Or others may choose to have the treatment because they have a special occasion such as a wedding or a ball to attend and do not wish to have perspiration marks on their gown or dress.
